Dr. Nisha Hariharan is a Consultant, Breast Onco-surgeon, with over a decade of experience, specializing in conservative breast surgeries and sentinel node biopsies.
Dr. Nisha received her degree in Surgery from Grant Medical College and Sir J. J. Group of Hospitals, Mumbai. She then trained at Tata Memorial Hospital, successfully completing her certified HBNI Fellowship in Breast Oncology. She has previously held positions at S.L Raheja Hospital and Apollo Hospitals, Mumbai.
Dr. Nisha has dedicated her practice to breast cancer, focusing on cosmetic and conservative breast cancer surgeries and sentinel node biopsies. Other areas of expertise include benign breast lumps, pregnancy-associated breast tumours, cancers in women with genetic predisposition or family history, bilateral breast cancers, and screening procedures among older or high-risk women. She has given multiple talks at conferences, including the Indian Cancer Congress, and has presented her work at various international conferences in Singapore, Belgium, and other locations. She is trained in clinical research and data analysis and has been the Lead and Co-Investigator in several national and international clinical trials.
She enjoys interactive sessions and often holds live discussions and counseling on breast self-examination and early detection of breast lumps with women across different demographics in her free time.
